The Allen-Bradley 2198-H025-ERS is a motion and position control drive that is part of the 2198 product bulletin. This product is a Kinetix 5500 Ethernet I/P Servo drive that comes with modern control and connectivity features. This drive is compatible with the the Studio 5000 Design environment for implementing integrated architecture. Using the integrated architecture and the integrated dual Ethernet communication interfaces 2198-H025-ERS may be fully integrated to CompactLogix, ControlLogix and GuardLogix controller platforms. Integrating this Kinetix drives to these controllers enables access to the drive parameters through add-on instruction and profiles.
The 2198-H025-ERS operates when supplied with a voltage range of 195-264V rms, 3-phase and nominal value of 240V. It is also compatible with 324-528V rms, 3-phase with 480VAC nominal voltage level. It delivers a continuous output current (rms) of 8.0 A, peak output Current of 11.3 A and output power of 4.0kW @ 195-264V rms, three-phase and 8.3 kW @ 324-528V rms, three-phase.
For branch circuit protection, Allen-Bradley recommends installation of protective devices such as fuse and circuit breakers. For the 2198-H025-ERS, appropriate fuse is KTK-R-20 Bussman fuse and Molded Case CB 140U-D6D3-C20 if used for UL applications. For non-UL applications, recommended DIN gG Fuses is 20 A and Molded case circuit breaker 140U-D6D3-C20. This drive also supports installation in Shared DC or common-bus drive systems, Shared AC Drive Systems and Shared AC/DC and Hybrid Systems.
